A village came together for its annual festival of celebration with a vibrant and colourful parade.
Weeton Garden Party and Rose Queen Festival was held on Saturday, with a procession of floats led out by this year’s Rose Queen, 11-year-old Francesca Battersby, from Greenhalgh.
Organiser Glenys Crossley said: “It went very nicely really despite the bad weather forecast.
“It’s just such a lovely community event and everybody comes together, it’s fantastic.”
The Eagle and Child pub won first prize in the parade, while the Women’s Institute came runners-up.
