Call to join litter survey

A last call is being made for Fylde residents to take part in a survey of litter to help keep the borough clean and litter-free.

Fylde Council is asking citizens to join Keep Britain Tidy’s Great Litter Count which involves recording all litter in the area so that organisers can tackle the manufacturers.

People have until the end of today to return their findings to Keep Britain Tidy which will then find out which retailers’ and manufacturers’ litter is most prevalent across the country.

Sarah Wilson, Fylde Council’s principal waste development officer, said: “Fylde citizens are known for their civic-mindedness, so I appeal to them to play their part in keeping the area looking good.”

Forms can be sent online at www.keepbritaintidy.org.
