Blackpool Doctor Who rumours rubbished
REPORTS former Blackpool actor John Simm was set to take over as Doctor Who have been rubbished by BBC bosses.
The Blackpool and the Fylde College graduate, last seen as the Doctor's deadly enemy the Master in the last series, was strongly linked with the role by tabloid newspapers.

But the BBC says Simm, who found fame in The Lakes and already has a time-travelling role under his belt in Life on Mars, will not be taking over from current Doctor David Tennant.
