Blackpool puts on spectacular show

BLACKPOOL rocked to a majestic night of entertainment - and The Queen "absolutely loved it".

Her Majesty was beaming with smiles after the Royal Variety Performance returned to the Opera House for the first time since 1955.

And it was today rated as the best ever royal show.

After Bette Midler, Lady Gaga, Whoopi Goldberg, Katherine Jenkins and host Peter Kay brought the house down, legendary West End producer Bill Kenwright said: "I always thought Blackpool was the Mecca of showbiz - tonight has proved it.

"The performance was better than any Royal Variety I've seen before."

Were you at the show, was it the best ever? Leave your comments below.
