Blackpool’s best care workers are to be recognised at an award ceremony this year.
The awards will celebrate care workers across the town who go the extra mile to make sure older adults can continue to live comfortably in their own homes.
Care providers will be handing out nomination forms to families who use care at home services.
Coun Kath Rowson, Blackpool Council’s cabinet member for adult services, said: “There are hundreds of care workers in Blackpool who do an excellent job.
“There are so many families that are extremely grateful for the support care workers give to make sure people can continue to live in their own home, instead of needing to go into a residential care home.
“These award ceremonies are a great way of making sure care workers are appreciated properly.”
Chairman of Blackpool’s Care at Home Provider Forum, Sandy Bell of The Safehands Group, added: “Home care providers work extremely hard to ensure the quality of staff we send out to Blackpool residents is to a very high standard.
“Working with Blackpool Council we want to reward the dedicated and caring staff who always go that extra mile.”
The awards ceremony will be held in October.
