POLICE are appealing for information to find a man who has gone missing in Blackpool.

Alistair Shand, 65, arrived in Blackpool around 3pm on Friday on a coach trip from Scotland and was taken to his hotel, La Tour, on Albert Road.

He was last seen at the hotel at 4pm the same day but has not been seen since.

Mr Shand is described as white, around 5ft 9in tall and of medium build.

He speaks with a Scottish accent.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jumper, green pants and brown shoes.

A police spokesman said: “Both police and his friends are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and are urging for him to get in touch or anyone that has seen him to contact police.”

Anyone with information can contact Blackpool Police on 101, quoting log number LC-20121020-0513.
