An international superstar has lent his support to The Gazette’s Hospice Heroes appeal.
We’re helping to raise money for a massive refurbishment at Trinity Hospice, and its patron, Alfie Boe, is the latest to back the campaign.
He’s asking residents across the Fylde coast to support the appeal’s latest fund-raiser – the Trinity Tea Party.
He said: “As a Fylde coast lad now based in the US, I still believe there’s nothing quite like a good cup of tea, so I’m asking everyone to get behind Trinity and its Hospice Heroes appeal and hold a tea party to raise some money for the vital refurbishment.
“The improvements on the adult in-patient unit at Trinity will provide increased comfort, privacy and dignity for patients, and the re-fit at Brian House children’s hospice will benefit every one of the 80 families it currently cares for.
“It’s so important that our hospice on the Fylde Coast is the best it can possibly be – and if having a cup of tea can help raise a few pounds, then I would encourage everyone to put the kettle on.”
