A whole new way of climbing business ladder

CONFERENCES at Ribby Hall are child's play.

Bosses at the Fylde holiday spot have taken to the trees as part of their latest venue – by creating a state-of-the-art tree house.

The Tree House is a meeting place for up to 14 delegates who really want to get away from the hustle and bustle of boring board meetings.

And there will be no climbing dodgy rope ladders to get up to this conference room.

Made from sustainable wood it resembles every 10- year-old child's dream play house.

But on the inside it is a veritable feast of technology, enabling conference attendees to carry out their work away from the other stuffy conference centres.

The Tree House is located three metres up a huge oak tree and took eight weeks to build by experts High Life Tree Houses.

Ribby Hallmanaging director Paul Harrison said: "We're delighted with the completed Tree House which absolutely delivers in offering our clients a fresh and exciting approach to their business meetings and small functions.

"We're sure it will prove to be a valuable addition to our conference facilities."

The Tree House opened for business last week and is the latest addition to the award winning holiday complex.

Mr Harrison said: "The inspiration for the Tree House began when I was looking to replace some out dated holiday homes with Bothay timber lodges.

"The company we worked with on this project also built these incredible bespoke tree houses, and I thought this could be a fantastic unique selling point for our conference and events business."

Earlier this year Ribby Hall Village was awarded a five star rating by Visit Britain, the first of its kind on the Fylde.

Five years ago the owners of Ribby Hall invested more than 1m in a new conference facility, opened by the then director general of the CBI, Sir Digby Jones.

The centre plays host to around 25,000 business delegates every year.
