This is the face of a man police want to speak to after a phone worth hundreds of pounds was stolen from a Blackpool discount store.

The CCTV image has today been released as part of an appeal to help identify the man.

The victim had left his mobile phone on a shelf within the store. When he returned to the store the mobile was gone

Officers want to speak to him in connection with a theft at B and M Bargains, on Vicarage Lane, Marton.

The alleged victim left his iPhone on a shelf but by the time he returned to retrieve it, the device had gone, police said.

The incident happened during the afternoon of August 24 but police have only today released details of the offence. It comes as efforts to identify the man in the CCTV footage have drawn a blank.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for help to trace a man in connection with the theft of an iPhone .

“The victim had left his mobile phone on a shelf within the store. When he returned to the store the mobile was gone.”
