THIS shocking picture of Jamie Montgomery’s hand is the result of a savage bite – from a woman.
Now the 26-year-old has spoken of the horrific incident in a bid to find her attacker.
Ms Montgomery was bitten by a woman she didn’t know in Ma Kelly’s Talbot Road, Blackpool.
Despite treatment at her doctors, the wound became infected and she was hospitalised for 29 days, undergoing four operations and plastic surgery.
She was standing in a group when her hair was grabbed and she was bitten, at around 11.40pm, on December 20.
Ms Montgomery was admitted to hospital on December 23 with a huge infection in the wound, and only left on January 18.
She said: “This woman grabbed my hair and attacked me, biting my hand.
“I don’t know who she was or why she attacked me but want to help the police find her.
“My friend had to grab her by the neck to get her off my thumb.
“The doorstaff got her out and looked after me but we don’t know who she is. I had to spend Christmas and New Year in hospital.”
PC Ross Williams said he was keen to speak to anyone who may be able to identify the attacker.
He said: “She’s been the victim of a terrible attack. It’s shocking.
Police have issued CCTV image of a group of women they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
“I need to speak to the women in the CCTV image to find out what has happened”, said PC Williams.
“Hopefully someone will recognise her – they’re standing in a group so they must be friends – and come forward.”
Anyone with information should call Blackpool Police on 101, or Crimestoppers 0800 555111 where information may be left in confidence.”
