POLICE are hunting a sex attacker who targeted a woman who was walking home.

The 21-year-old victim was on Kemp Street, Fleetwood, when a man pulled up beside her in a car.

She refused his offer of a lift. The man then got out of the car and approached the woman before offering her a lift for a second time.

When she refused again, the man grabbed her and attempted to kiss her.

The woman, although unhurt, was left extremely shaken by the incident but was able to contact police.

The man is described as Asian, around 5ft 8ins tall with brown hair.

He was clean shaven and was wearing a light-coloured top, blue jeans and white trainers. The car was a dark-coloured hatchback with tinted windows.

The assault happened at around midnight on Tuesday.

Det Con Mick Englishby of Fleetwood CID said: “It was a traumatic experience.

“The woman was able to contact police on her mobile phone. We had officers on the scene within minutes, but were unable to apprehend the man.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward and contact police.

“Any piece of information, could be crucial.”
