POLICE hunting the arsonists responsible for torching a “death trap” Blackpool warehouse have released images of the men they want to speak to.

Two men were captured on CCTV close to the warehouse on Back Read’s Road, in the town centre, around the time of the blaze, and now officers want to track them down.

Fire ripped through the derelict building in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, September 16 after the roof was deliberately set alight.

It is thought the offenders climbed over a fence into the secure car park before clambering over another fence onto the roof of a neighbouring property.

The arsonists have then tampered with roof tiles on the warehouse before setting fire to the building and jumping from the roof.

PC Donna Houlton-Pinder, of Blackpool police, said: “These two men were captured in CCTV in the area around the time of the incident. They could be key witnesses so I would appeal directly to them or to anybody that recognises them to come forward.”
