A fund-raising ball is being held in memory of a Blackpool councillor who died last year.
The family of Tony Lee, who represented Waterloo ward, are organising a Springtime Ball in aid of Trinity Hospice.
His daughter Gemma Woodham said: “It is our way of saying thank you for the amazing care given to dad and us last summer.
“If it’s a success, which we think it will be, we plan on running more events to help raise awareness and funds for this wonderful organisation.
“Many local businesses have donated generously so far to the raffles and auctions we plan to hold on the night, which is great.”
The ball will take place at the Inn on the Prom in St Annes on Saturday May 30.
Mr Lee died in Trinity Hospice last July, aged 71, after being diagnosed with cancer during a holiday in France.
