It was tea, tunes and treats, with a special event held by the Thornton Cleveleys Friends of Trinity Hospice.

The fund-raising group held an afternoon tea, at Thornton Methodist Church, which raised £375 for Bispham-based Trinity.

The event included tea, scones with jam and cakes.

Entertainment was provided by Bispham Townswomens Guild Choir.

Kath Burn, from the Friends group, said: “It was the first time we had a tea party. We have held coffee mornings before, but thought an afternoon tea would be a nice idea.

“It went very well, everyone really enjoyed it.

“The choir was wonderful and we were very pleased with the total raised.”

Helping out at the event were Anne Hill, Judith McNamara and Kath Ashfield Bispham Towns women’s Guild choir Christine Pimlott, Shelagh Thompson, Judy Murphy and Kath Burn Stella Johnson serves Sally Clarkson and Christine 
Lacken.
