THREE drug dealers at the centre of a heroin-selling ring have been jailed for a total of four years and eight months.
And police today said the streets of the Fylde coast are safer now the trio are behind bars.
Jon Clark, 36, Stuart McBride, also 36, and 22-year-old Melissa Martin were all arrested during Operation Nimrod raids carried out in Fleetwood in February.
As part of the operation, search warrants were executed at a number of addresses in the town during two days of action which followed a lengthy undercover investigation into drug dealing in the area.
Appearing at Preston Crown Court, Clark, of Martindale Avenue, Fleetwood, was jailed for 16 months for supplying heroin and offering to supply heroin.
Martin, also of Martindale Avenue, was jailed for two years for offering to supply heroin and three counts of supplying heroin.
McBride, of Croft Court, Fleetwood, who appeared at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday, was jailed for 16 months for supplying heroin and three counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin.
Five people have already been jailed for a total of 13 years and six months as a result of the operation.
Det Chief Insp Vicki Evans, of Fleetwood Police, said: “Operation Nimrod shows the public we are committed to taking class A drugs off our streets.
“Once our investigations are complete we carry out high profile raids so that residents can see we are taking action, and addresses are plastered with posters announcing that a drugs raid has been carried out at the address.
“These latest sentences show the consequences that a criminal faces if they try to blight our streets with their illegal drug dealing.
“Three people are now behind bars and our communities are safer for it.”
Nimrod is a force-wide operation dedicated to tackling drug-related crime right across Lancashire.
