A RELIEVED mum has launched a hunt for a Blackpool hero who helped save her six-month-old baby who had became trapped inside a locked car.
Elaine Pearce screamed for help when she realised she’d locked her keys – and daughter Grace – in her Ford Mondeo on a shopping trip to the Mothercare store in Preston’s Docklands on May 17.
Luckily for the mother-of-one, a passing Good Samaritan rang his son who, along with his boss, drove from Blackpool to Preston to save the day.
Now, the 30-year-old wants to track down the two mystery mechanics to thank them for their help along with staff at the childcare store.
Recalling what happened she said: “I normally throw my car keys on the seat and after putting Grace in the car I just closed the door.
“I was about to put the travel high chair into the boot when I realised that it was locked just like the other doors.
“I started to panic and I ran into the store to get help.
