A charity football match in memory of Jordan Whitehouse takes place at Fleetwood’s Highbury Stadium tomorrow.
The 20-year-old, who had cystic fibrosis, died in March and his Blackpool Rangers FC team mates wanted to do something in his memory to raise money for the charity which supports people with the illness.
Max Weaver, who played football with Jordan as a youngster, has organised the event.
He said: “We are looking forward to it but it will be a bit emotional.
“The Cystic Fibrosis Trust did loads to help Jordan and this is just a way to give a little bit back.”
Kick off is 6pm where Jordan’s former team mates and family members will battle it out. Jim’s bar will be open from 4.30pm and a 9pm the raffle will be drawn in the bar. More than 400 tickets have already sold. They are £5 for adults and £1 for children under 14. Call or message Max on 07470 305320.
