A man has been rushed to hospital after collapsing outside a Salvation Army hostel.

A spokeswoman from the North West Ambulance Service said they were called to Leamington Road in North Shore at 12.41pm after a 70-year-old man went into cardiac arrest.

Parademics performed CPR while he was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The pensioner’s condition is unknown.
