Hundreds of festive cyclists took part in Blackpool’s first-ever Santa Cycle as the Promenade became a sea of red and white.
Bikers cycled along the resort’s front dressed as Father Christmas, setting off from the Sandcastle and biking to Gynn Square and back.
Shirley Morgan, of Trinity Hospice, said the day had been a “huge success” and hoped it would be repeated next year.
She said: “We had around 250 cyclists who took part. People decorated their bikes and we had all ages taking part.
“We were concerned whether the event would go ahead after the weather a few days earlier, but we were lucky. I’m delighted so many people got into the festive spirit to raise money for the charity.”
It is hoped the event will have raised around £5,000 for Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children’s Hospice.
