NHS chiefs are searching for the top cardiac nurse who has made a significant impact to the lives of others.
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is holding its Cardiac Nurse of the Year Awards, which honour nurses or health care assistants from the Lancashire Cardiac Centre. Cardiac Nurse of the Year is a personal award set up by retired cardiothoracic surgeon, Ramesh Gandhi.
He said: “Most nurses do a lot more than simply look after patients. In addition to providing expert medical care, they offer comfort, support and encouragement to patients, often going that extra mile.” Visit www.lancashirecardiaccentre.nhs.uk/award to nominate a nurse.
