Health workers praised for their achievements

More than 350 healthcare workers gathered in celebration of their achievements.

They came together for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust’s eight annual staff awards ceremony, which was held at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors, east Lancashire.

Heather Tierney-Moore, chief executive at the trust, which runs The Harbour in Marton and provides mental healthcare across the county, said: “The event really highlights the dedication our staff exhibit every day in providing high quality care to all of our service users, their families and carers.

“It’s also a great way to remember and celebrate the achievements of our staff and highlight the great work that we have done over the past year.”

The winners were: Frontline Team of the Year and Chief Executive’s Award for Excellent - Acute Therapy Service; Service User and Carer Involvement - CAMHS Central Lancashire Learning Disabilities Team; Innovation Award - Lisa Rogerson and Asma Muzaffar from Speech and Language Therapy service in Preston; Patient Quality Award - Learning Disability Complex Needs Service; Unsung Hero - Anne Gibson; Partnership Working Award - Steady On!; Emerging Leader Award - Jennifer Winnard; People’s Choice - district nurse Tracey Ginger; Compassionate Care Award - Jade Fowler; and Support Team of the Year - The county-wide EPMA Project Team.
