Patients are being given the opportunity to recognise health professionals for the help they have given.

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust provides health and wellbeing services across the county, and as part of their annual Staff Awards celebrations, are now inviting members of the public to submit nominations for their People’s Choice Award, which was introduced last year.

Heather Tierney-Moore, chief executive at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We’re once again giving people the opportunity to nominate individuals or teams who deserve recognition for the work they do to improve experiences for service users and their families.

“We are privileged to have so many dedicated members of staff working here at Lancashire Care and this is a great opportunity for members of the public to speak out about a positive experience they’ve had.

“It’s often the little things that can make a real difference to the service user experience and this category allows the public to have their say and help us recognise some of the outstanding contributions our staff make on a regular basis.”

The winner of the award will be voted for by the public, and announced at the awards ceremony in March next year.

The deadline for nominations is October 31.

To vote please visit www.lancashirecare.nhs.uk/Peoples-Choice-2015 and complete a nomination form.
