The chips certainly weren’t down when a Promenade restaurant relaunched following a £750,000 revamp.
Showgirls, dressed in their sparkling feathers and finery, joined Mayor of Blackpool, Coun Val Haynes, and restaurant staff to tuck into Harry Ramsden’s Fish and Chips at its grand reopening on Wednesday afternoon.
External and internal works have completely transformed the look and feel of the Blackpool restaurant and its associated takeaway.
In addition, as part of the refurbishment works, a brand new Harry’s Café has been created thus increasing the capacity of the restaurant from 153 to 165.
Coun Haynes said: “It’s brilliant to see an existing business with such an iconic brand investing and expanding on the Promenade where Blackpool Council has already undertaken major refurbishment.
“An investment such as this is most welcome and demonstrates the confidence Harry Ramsden’s has in the future of Blackpool.
“It can only enhance the enjoyment of Blackpool’s famous Promenade for both visitors and residents alike.”
