Grand Theatre is subject of exhibition

The history of Blackpool's Grand Theatre is the subject of an exhibition currently being held at the Visitor Centre in Stanley Park.

The exhibition is open from 11am until 3pm from Wednesday to Sunday each week until the end of the Illuminations when the hours are reduced to weekends only.

The display will remain until Christmas.

Elaine Smith, of the Friends of Stanley Park, said: “This is an excellent heritage exhibition about the Grand Theatre which has some very interesting panels and memorabilia.

“I would urge people to come along and take a look for themselves.”

The park recently marked its 90th anniversary, and the Friends Group celebrated the day with a Macmillan Coffee Morning which raised a total of £825 for the charity.
