Penny Farm Visitor Centre Officer Zoe Clifford said: “Last year we raised £765 which is a fantastic amount, but this time we would really like to beat that amount and reach £1,000.

“We appreciate it is a difficult time for people at the moment and Rags for Nags is a great way for members of the public to really help horses in need without costing them a penny.

“It also helps the environment as the items are being recycled.”

Items can be donated to the farm between Saturday February 11 and Sunday February 19 between 11am-4pm on Saturdays, Sundays or Wednesday.

All items should be packed into bin liners to be sold to a textile recycling company.
