GIRL group Mellia wowed the crowds and judges as they took part in the final of a top pop competition.
The Blackpool-based trio, who have been performing together for a year, impressed as they took centre stage at Manchester’s PrintworX Factor.
The final compromised of eight band winners from four previous heats including boys, girls, the over 28s and the groups.
The three-piece group are Ellie Danson, 15, Melissa Stevens 17, and Ella Coleman 17, who all attend St Aiden’s School in Preesall.
Ella said: “The competition was amazing and we’re so happy to come in second place. The level of talent was really impressive and we’re proud to gain the second slot. The whole contest has been a great experience and just what we needed to boost our fan base.”
Boy band The Mend won the competition.
Hollie-Jay Bowes, actress and PrintworX Factor presenter, said: “The final was amazing. The level of talent on show was incredible. Mellia had plenty of worthy opponents and should be proud to of come second.”
