Workers at a Fylde nuclear fuel factory have chipped in to help food bank charities.

Employees at Westinghouse’s Springfields plant in Salwick donated non-perishable foods to the Oasis Centre in Blackpool for families struggling with household bills.

Gary Hogston, Unite Convenor at Salwick, said: “They really got behind the cause and allowed us to donate 22 boxes of food.”
