A missing man found dead following an extensive search will be laid to rest later this month.
A funeral service for Andrew Dickinson, 34, will be held at Carleton Cemetery Chapel from 1.15pm on Wednesday, February 22, before an interment in the cemetery, his family announced.
The body of Mr Dickinson, who left behind mum Diana and siblings Barry, Amanda, and Wendy, was found on land at Marton Mere Holiday Village, in Mythop Road, Blackpool, on Thursday, January 26.
His death was not being treated as suspicious by police officers, who passed a file to the coroner.
Mr Dickinson was last seen leaving his home in Mereside at around 3pm the previous Sunday.
Firefighters from Preston were called in to search two Blackpool lakes – at Marton Mere and Stanley Park – amid growing concerns for Mr Dickinson’s safety, with police requesting their assistance as the search entered its second day.
Flowers are welcome at his funeral.
All enquiries should go to Co-op Funeralcare, Bispham Road, Blackpool, or (01253) 596754.
