Dog owners can have their pets micro-chipped at a special session in Poulton later this month.
Wyre Council will hold a microchipping session for dogs across Wyre at the Civic Centre, Poulton on Monday December 19 from 10am to noon.
The chipping can be carried out in exchange for a small donation for the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity.
The authority is keen to remind owners that in April it became law to have their dog micro-chipped.
A spokesman said: “ If your dog isn’t chipped, make a donation to have them microchipped by our area officers and learn all about responsible dog ownership.”
To book an appointment at the microchipping session you can call Wyre Council on (01253) 887495.
