THRILL seekers can get into one of Blackpool’s top attractions for free following an online gesture from its owner.
Amanda Thompson, managing director of the Pleasure Beach, used her personal Twitter account to reveal the offer, which will run until April 14.
Mrs Thompson made the announcement to her 2,000 followers on the site on Wednesday, with the statement: “Special present from me for you all until April 14th! Get a free Pleasure Beach Pass to enter the park!”
People taking advantage of the free pass will be given general admission to the attraction, which usually costs £6.
It will also allow visitors to take a ride on the Pleasure Beach Express, explore The Maze and watch the Spectacular Dancing Water Show.
Visitors wishing to go on other rides at the park will have to upgrade to a wristband, priced at £25, to do so.
A spokesperson for Blackpool Pleasure Beach: “The free Pleasure Beach Pass offer from Amanda Thompson, managing director of the attraction, is aimed at reaching out to the many thousands of people who follow her through her Twitter account.
“It’s a gift from the boss and her way of saying a special thank you to everyone who supports Blackpool Pleasure Beach.”
Entry to the attraction used to be permanently free, however the Pleasure Beach provoked an angry reaction from nearby traders and tourists when it announced it would begin to charge back in 2008.
Those wishing to take advantage of the offer can do so by visiting www.blackpoolpleasurebeach.com and entering the promotional code 1345.
The offer does not apply to visitors turning up on the gate.
