Fracking: County council recommend one approved, one refused
Officers have recommended that Cuadrilla’s bid to frack for shale gas at Preston New Road, Little Plumpton, be approved.
But they have said that a second application to drill at Roseacre Wood near Elswick be refused.
Next Tuesday Lancashire County Councillors will begin the process of deciding on the two applications.
The three-day meeting will hear from energy firm Caudrilla, who have submitted the applications, and dozens of others including anti-fracking campaigners and local landowners.
