The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for Blackpool.
The agency warns tidal spray and onshore flooding could occur two hours either side of the high tide at 12.30am and 12.45pm on Sunday.
There is also a flood alert along the coast from Fleetwood to Blackpool and on the Wyre Estuary.
It comes after sea water breached sea defences in Blackpool on Saturday morning between St Chads and Manchester Square.
Blackpool Police monitored the situation with Blackpool Council and the Environment Agency, and determined no road closure was necessary.
A police spokesman said: “The issue is if we have a westerly wind, that’s when it pushes the water across the sea defences.
“It’s blowing southerly at the moment so it should be OK, but it might be different later tonight.”
