MUM Emma Colsey-Nicholls is shaping to help other families on the Fylde coast.
Fitness trainer Emma – who gave birth to her first child five-and-a-half months ago – is opening her new exercise studio on Chiswick Grove, Marton, on Saturday and, to celebrate, is holding an open day in aid of Brian House.
There will be special taster sessions of the classes she will be offering, as well as holding an auction and raffle to raise money for charity.
There will be 30 minute taster classes of pole fitness, body conditioning, zumba and pilates.
In return, participants are asked
to give a donation which will go
to the Bispham-based children's charity.
The 27-year-old former civil servant said: "Because I just had a baby myself, I realised how lucky I was and that some people don't always have a healthy child.
"I wanted to do something to help a local children's charity and felt Brian House was a really worthy cause.
"I went there to visit and thought it was wonderful.
"The staff are amazing.
"The children are so poorly and the staff really do their best for them. "They do such good for local families.
"I was so impressed with what I saw, I knew I had picked the right charity to help.
"We are having an auction, with a signed Blackpool FC shirt, and we have other prizes for a raffle.
"We are asking for donations for the taster sessions to raise money for Brian House.
"To open my own studio has always been my dream and it's so exciting it's now ready.
"It's been hard work, especially with having a young baby, but fitness has always been my passion.
"I've had to be organised and fit in working around the baby having a nap and so on.
"I used to work in the civil service but one day took the step to go into fitness full-time and it's the best thing I ever did.
"In the future I'm looking to teach post-natal classes – being a new mum myself – where women can bring their babies along to make things easier."
She added: "We would love people to come down to the studio Saturday, try the classes and help raise money for this fantastic cause."
The event will start at 3pm, on Saturday, at the studio at Chiswick House.
