Fire crews battle car blaze with buckets

Firefighters were forced to trek half a kilometer to put out a car which had deliberately been set ablaze.

The vehicle had been dumped at the end of a track in Harry's Wood near Lancaster Road in Out Rawcliffe

Firefighters from Preesall could only access the site by foot.

They put the fire out using backpack-mounted water sprays and buckets of water.

There were no casualties.

Police have been notified of the suspected arson.
