RESIDENTS were evacuated when a fire broke out in a ground floor flat.
Two fire crews from Blackpool fire station and one from Bispham were called to the incident on Dickson Road, central Blackpool, at 5.10pm yesterday.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hoses to tackle the fire, which they put out after around an hour.
A spokesman for the fire service said all occupants of the building escaped the blaze and nobody required hospital treatment.
