Three Christmas trees will be lit up in Blackpool’s Waterloo ward to celebrate the festive season.
The first to be officially switched on is outside the old post office on Waterloo Road at 5pm on Friday with entertainment from the Blackpool Music Academy.
This will be followed by the switch-on of a second tree outside Holy Trinity Church on the corner of Bond Street and Dean Street, at 6pm the same day.
The third tree will be switched on at around 3.30pm on Saturday in Watson Road Park by Eileen Lee, the widow of councillor Tony Lee who died in July.
The Friends of Watson Road Park are holding a Christmas Fair between 2pm and 5pm with stalls, marquees, mulled wine and a visit from Santa.
