Festival set for a Pepper tribute
Fifty years after John, Paul, George and Ringo released their ground-breaking 1967 album Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Mersey Beatles will perform a special anniversary show at Lytham Festival 2017.
The tribute band is bringing a two-hour live show to the Festival’s Pavilion Stage at Lowther Pavilion on Wednesday, August 2, with tickets on sale from tomorrow.

The Mersey Beatles – Steven Howard, David Howard, Mark Bloor and Brian Ambrose – was the resident Beatles tribute band at Liverpool’s legendary Cavern Club for 10 years up to 2012 and has played more than 600 shows at the world-famous venue.
Julia Baird, John Lennon’s sister and close friend of the band, said: “The Mersey Beatles are the most authentic I’ve heard ... and I’ve heard them all.”
Lytham Festival director Peter Taylor said: “This is going to be a really special night at Lytham Festival. The Mersey Beatles are a sensational band who perfectly capture the spirit and sound of The Beatles brilliantly.

“The second half will be a total Beatles party packed with the hits we all know and love. We’d advise Beatles fans to get their tickets now because this is going to be a night to remember!”
