Football fans have pledged their support to a Fylde coast children’s charity.

Blackpool Supporters Trust (BST) has joined forces with Variety, The Children’s Charity, Blackpool Wyre and Fylde, to raise money for disabled and disadvantaged children.

The Trust’s committee has voted to raise money for the charity in coming months, pledging to hold events to provide equipment and experiences for worthy and needy children.

BST member Steve Rowland said: “BST is very pleased to be working alongside Variety with the goal of helping to improve the lives of the most disadvantaged children on the Fylde. Together, we intend to provide events that will raise awareness, involve the local community and help to make a genuine difference for our most vulnerable local children.”
