THE family of a missing teenager are appealing for help to trace her.
Kirsty Dennis has not been seen for a week and relatives are growing increasingly concerned for her safety.
The 17-year-old, from Warrington, is believed to have travelled to Blackpool in the company of an older man.
She was last seen on Saturday July 23 at her uncle’s shop in Warrington.
Since then her family has had reports of Kirsty being seen in the Lytham and St Annes area, and in Blackpool.
Her cousin Clover Hughes, 21, said Kirsty’s family were desperate to hear from her.
She said: “We came down to Blackpool on Tuesday looking for her and are trying to do everything we can to try to bring her home.
“She only had £130 on her, which is the money my uncle gave her for looking after the shop – and by now that money would have run out.
“We just want her to contact her family and come home. Everyone is very worried about her and concerned for her safety.
“We have set up a Facebook group and a lot of people are helping through that.
“She has an auntie who lives in the Marton area of Blackpool, so Kirsty could have gone to her house.
“She is just a normal teenager and she’s not in trouble with anyone.”
Kirsty, who lives at home in Warrington with her mum Helen and her younger sister Kat, is described as having long light brown hair, is of medium build and about 5ft 4in tall.
She had a bag of clothes with her because she had been due to stay at a friend’s house, including jeans, white linen trousers, white shoes, silver sandals, a pink check top and a white and blue top.
Blackpool Police have been alerted and are also appealing for information about Kirsty.
A police spokesman said: “We are looking for her and she is believed to be in the Blackpool area.
“We believe she may be in the company of an older man. We would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her to contact police on (01253) 293933.
“When she was last seen she was wearing white trousers, a blue and white floral top and silver sandals.”
Anyone with information that could lead to Kirsty being found, is urged to call Blackpool Police on (01235) 293933.
