Work is set to start next month on a £33,000 re-development scheme at a St Annes park.
The money is being used to replace children’s play equipment at Frobisher Drive Park.
The Fylde Council project, designed in conjunction with the Friends of Frobisher Drive Park, involves replacing all existing equipment with new swings, a basket swing, a slide, a roundabout and see-saw.
The work also includes a dog-proof fence around the play area, installation of safety surfaces and a new path to the playground.
Johanna Wood, Fylde Council’s landscape design and development officer, said:
“Children will love the new equipment as the old equipment was old and lacking in any real play value.
“We are pleased to be providing a completely revamped scheme for local children and families.
“The small Friends group has been very supportive and deserve thanks from everyone in the area who appreciates their park.”
