ENVIRONMENTAL campaigners are being urged to attend a town hall meeting tomorrow.
Blackpool’s Environmental Action Team (BEAT) is holding a workshop starting at 6pm aimed at helping residents get small projects off the ground.
Last year’s successes included providing funding for landscaping work at the North Blackpool Pond Trail, Kincraig Pond area, a garden project at Bispham High School and Stanley Park floral clock, as well as for various small community gardening projects.
BEAT chairman Coun Val Haynes said: “As an organisation we are looking forward to helping community groups improve our environment by securing grants and working in partnership.
“As well as explaining what BEAT is and how we can help groups improve our environment, the workshop will give people the opportunity of contributing to the BEAT group’s plans for 2012.
“We are hoping if anybody has a small local project they need help with funding for, that they will come along.”
