Two people have been fined £50 for not clearing up after their dogs.

Members of the public complained to Fylde Council’s dog wardens that people were leaving dog mess on the beach by Fairhaven Lake.

The wardens caught them while they were walking their dogs at the weekend.

The council’s principle waste development officer, Sarah Wilson, said: “We now work early mornings, evenings and weekends when most offending takes place.

“Wardens, however, can’t be everywhere so we’re asking members of the public to be our eyes and ears.”
