Lancashire fire and rescue service received a deluge of calls as torrential rain again battered the county.
Following on from Friday’s thunderstorms which caused flash flooding in parts of South Ribble, fire crews were again busy last night as the rain returned in the wake of a “Spanish plume”.

Some properties suffered flooding and residents were given advice and reassurance about the effect on electrics.
Crews were called to properties including Parliament Street. Morecambe; Fairfield Road, Heysham; Westboro Close, Heysham; Heysham Road, Heysham; and Westminster Road, Morecambe.
