Rossall Beach Residents & Community Group are planning a busy 2015 and with new projects starting at their local primary schools, and they’re inviting members of the public to join in.
At 6pm on Wednesday, January 7, they are inviting people to a ‘Meet the Beach Buddies’ presentation at Cleveleys Community Centre, with photos and props, delivered by all the group members.
It aims to bring to life the problems faced by the beach such as the weather, litter and pollution.
Chairman of the Group Jane Littlewood (pictured) said “As this presentation covers most things which we get up to, it’s a perfect time for anyone new to come along and find out more about what the community does to look after the beach, and be entertained with an hour of friendly fun on a dark January evening.
“If you can’t make it on that day, you’re also invited to come to the first beach clean of 2015, at 9.30am on Monday, January 19. That event has had a makeover and now includes a brew at The Venue from 11am.”
