Firefighters rescued a pensioner after a fire at a home in Blackpool.
Crews were called to the incident around 1.10pm today at Queen Victoria Road.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: “We got a 999 call from a member of the public.
“Crews from South Shore, Blackpool and Bispham stations attended – around 15 firefighters in total.
“They used breathing equipment and a hose reel to put out the fire and ventilation units to clear the smoke.”
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment by paramedics.
