Blackpool Football Club is the place to be this autumn if you want advice on getting skilled up for work.
Blackpool South MP Gordon Marsden is to hold a Blackpool Works event there to give young people the skills to get into work.
Blackpool Works will be a free jobs and skills advisory day designed to offer practical help and advice to job seekers.
The jobs fair is an opportunity to improve the chances of young people in Blackpool who are having a difficult time getting back to work.
Gordon (pictured) said: “The job climate is tough, especially in Blackpool where many people are left searching for sustainable work.
“Many people need some practical help and guidance on getting into work and Blackpool Works provides that.
“It is also a good opportunity for local businesses to recruit in a positive and vibrant environment.”
The event will also feature guest speakers, free advice on writing CVs and interview techniques as well as advice on starting a new business for any would-be entrepreneurs.
There will also be advice to help overcome barriers in getting back to work.
The event is to be held on October 11 and is free. To register for a free CV writing class, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01253 344143.
