Last week I was lucky enough to be able to take part in the Train Like A Pro programme with AFC Fylde.

My whole team at Lancashire Attack were able to travel out to the AFC Fylde first team camp every day to train which felt crazy to me, almost as if we were part of the first team ourselves.

We took part in all different types of sessions and drills throughout the week which helped us to understand football a lot clearer than before the week started.

I’m a big Liverpool FC fan so my dream for the future is definitely to play for their first team like my idol, footballer Sadio Mane.

I’ve always supported them and to be able to play for them really would be a dream come true for me.

When I play for Lancashire Attack I play right midfield.

Normally my focus is just to try and score goals but I think after this week I have realized there is lots more important things to focus on than just the goals.

After watching the first team train I think it’s important to focus and practice my passing and tackling as well as shooting as these things will all help our team score more goals as a whole.

Over the week we have done lots of amazing and interesting things.

However, there are two things that stood out to me as the most memorable.

The first was a triangle shooting game we played on day two.

It was really good as it was improving our shooting whilst at the same time we were having lots of fun.

The second best part of the week for myself was definitely watching the first team train as that was something I’ve never had the opportunity to do before and it was really interesting to learn and get their tips!

Thank you to AFC Fylde Community Foundation and the partners of the training programme, Cuadrilla and Centrica, for giving me the chance to be able to take part in the Train Like A Pro programme.
