COLOURFUL dresses, sparkling tiaras and extravagant hair pieces were the order of the day at The Gazette Prom Show.
Hundreds of excited school leavers packed into Blackpool’s Hilton Hotel to enjoy the lavish event in its second year.
They were greeted with displays of jewellery, photography, car hire, beauty and spray tans – everything you need for an American-style school-leavers’ prom. The highlight of the evening was the catwalk show casing the latest designs in prom dresses.
Pupils from Hodgson High School Technology College and Baines School in Poulton modelled glamourous dresses from Debenhams, Marcos Couture and Prom Parties in Poulton.
Gazette promotions manager Sue Bentley said the evening was a huge success.
She said; “Everyone had a fabulous time it was absolutely packed to the rafters.
“The students were able to try on all the dresses and suits featured in the fashion show which caused great excitement. It’s a great event for school leavers and the Hilton Hotel was fabulous as ever, a really beautiful back drop for the evening.”
