Schoolchildren saw poetry in motion as they took part in a workshop with a poet, storyteller and photographer.
John Rice led The John Betjeman Poetry Society workshop with 20 pupils at Carr Hill High School, in Kirkham, giving them anthologies and poetry books to take inspiration from.
The children from all year groups were chosen after submitting impressive entries to a poetry competition earlier in the year.
And 16-year-old Kieran Wyatt was so enthused by the workshop he has decided to set up a creative writing club next term.
He said: “I saw how much the other pupils were enjoying the workshop and thought I would act on John Rice’s idea to set up our own workshop.”
