The other week I was lucky enough to be able to take part in the Train Like A Pro programme with AFC Fylde.

My whole team at Kirkham Juniors were able to travel out to the AFC Fylde first team camp every day to train which felt crazy to me, almost as if we were part of the first team ourselves.

We took part in all different types of sessions and drills throughout the week which helped us to understand football a lot clearer than before the week started.

I’m a big Liverpool FC fan so my dream for the future is definitely to play for their first team like my idol ‘Phillipe Coutinho’.

I’ve always watched and supported Liverpool and to be able to play for them when I’m older really would be a dream come true for me.

When I play for Kirkham Juniors I play left back, however during my Train Like A Pro experience I’ve really enjoyed the passing and dribbling sessions .

For this reason I think after Train Like A Pro has finished I’m going to have a try at moving up to midfield and seeing how well I can progress there.

Over the week we have done lots of amazing and interesting things however there are two things that stood out to me as the most memorable.

The first we did was a great passing game where we had to do long passes and run across the square following the ball,

It was really good as we all had to make sure our passes were perfect!

The second best part for myself was definitely watching the first team train as that was something I’ve never had the opportunity to do and it was really interesting to learn and get their tips!

Thank you to AFC Fylde Community Foundation, Cuadrilla and Centrica for giving me the chance to be able to take part in the Train Like A Pro programme.
